Twenty-seven settings in four groups, and eight profiles that compose them. Profiles are additive patches rather than exclusive modes, so applying one keeps the settings a visitor has already chosen.

Read aloud is not a screen reader

It reads content using the browser's speech synthesis, with block-level highlight tracking. It cannot describe controls, announce state, or navigate. We say so because a visitor who mistakes one for the other is worse off than one who knows the difference.
